Injera, the heart of Ethiopian cuisine, is a unique, spongy flatbread made from teff, a supergrain that’s gluten-free and rich in nutrients like iron and calcium. It doubles as both bread and utensil, used to scoop up flavorful stews and vegetables. The secret to its tangy taste lies in fermentation, which gives injera its signature flavor. Ethiopian meals are often served family-style on a large piece of injera, symbolizing community and togetherness. Bold spices like berbere bring the dishes to life, and meals often end with a traditional coffee ceremony—fitting, since Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee!

Our ingredients

  • Teff Flour – The key ingredient in our soft and spongy injera, naturally gluten-free and nutrient-rich.

  • Berbere – A bold and aromatic spice blend made from sun-dried chili peppers, garlic, ginger, korarima (Ethiopian cardamom), and other warming spices for depth and heat.

  • Mitmita – A fiery Ethiopian spice mix with bird’s eye chili, cardamom, and cloves, adding a spicy kick to dishes like kitfo.

  • Niter Kibbeh – Ethiopian spiced clarified butter, infused with korarima, koseret (Ethiopian herb), and fenugreek, giving our dishes their signature richness.

  • Shiro Powder – Ground roasted chickpeas blended with garlic, ginger, and berbere, used to create our creamy, flavorful Shiro Wot.

  • Fresh Herbs & Vegetables – Hand-selected kale, cabbage, beetroot, lentils, and chickpeas to craft vibrant, plant-based dishes.

  • Premium Meats – Carefully sourced beef, chicken, and lamb, seasoned with traditional Ethiopian spices and slow-cooked for maximum flavor.
